仅用单数形式，如；

【例】There was a large attendance at the fair.

出席交易会的人数很多。

 

attention

注意，注意处理

 

①常接用to sth。

【例】Your immediate attention to our enquiry and proposal will be appreciated.

我方询盘与建议若能得到贵方迅速办理，则不胜感激。

 

②常与call，bring，draw，invite等动词搭配使用。

【例】We hope you will direct the attention of your users to the quality of our products, which is far superior to that of others.

希望提请你方用户注意，我方产品较其他产品质量优越得多。

 

③…attention to之后不可直接接用that从句，应改写为… attention to the fact that…。

【例】We think necessary to bring your attention to fact [to bring the fact to your attention] that our stocks of men’s shirts have nearly been cleared because of the recent exceptional demand.

有必要提请注意，由于近来订货特别踊跃，我方男式衬衫存货已薄。

 

④attention之前使用介词时，通常用for，间或也用to。

【例】We have for your attention that steamers sailing for your port seldom call at Singapore.

务请注意，开往你港船只很少停靠新加坡。

 

attitude

态度，看法

 

①【例】Buyers have adopted a lukewarm attitude.

买主采取了不甚热心的态度。

 

②在attitude后一般用towards或to，即：… attitude towards [to] sth.

【例】Their attitude towards your suggestion is negative.

他们对你方建议持消极态度。
