【1】船舷

 

①常组成on board，表示：在船（或车、飞机）上。

【例】Under FOB terms, the buyer shall pay all the expenses which may be incurred after the goods are loaded on board the carrying vessel.

按照FOB的贸易条件，买方应负担货物装上运载船以后所发生的一切费用。

 

②在on board后未说明何种运载工具的情况下，一般是指装船。

【例】The bill of lading shows clearly that four cases were taken on board.

提单清楚地表明四箱货物已装船。

 

③on-board可用作定语（注意其中有连字符）。

【例】You can get a set of on-board bills of lading from the carriers when you have made the shipment.

当你方装船后，可以从运输公司取得一套证明货物已装船的提单。

【例】The management of joint venture company shall be the responsibility of its board of directors.

合资经营公司董事会的职责是经营管理该公司。

 

【3】登上，装入（船、车或飞机）

 

【例】On receipt of application, our inspectors boarded the vessel several times to conduct inspections.
