【2】账簿

 

①多用复数形式。

【例】The licensee shall keep true and accurate books of account relating to the sale of said articles.

许可证接受方应有销售前述产品的账簿，账目必须真实而确切。

 

②注意与books搭配的动词。

【例】You’ll have to hire a book keeper unless you can do your books yourself.

除非你自己能够做账，否则你还得雇用一个记账员。

 

【3】put… to book登账

 

【例】We are glad we have been able to put the business to book.

我们很高兴我们能够达成这项交易。

 

【4】预订（舱位等）

②book后加up表示“订完了”。

【例】We are told that the shipping space for sailing to Hamburg up to the end of June has been booked up.

③过去分词用作后置定语。

【例】If you could not have enough cargo to use the whole shipping space booked, you must pay the dead freight.

如果你方没有足够的货物利用所订的全部舱位，你方必须付给空舱费。

 

【5】成交，订购，接受订货

②book原为“登记、记账”（即成交）的意思，根据情景，可理解为“买”（订购）

或“卖”（接受订货）。

【例】We note that you wish to book a repeat order.
