接用of+多长时间。

【例】This will cause the shipment a delay of half a month.

这要使装船延迟半个月。

 

【2】延迟（指动作、状态、事例）

 

①【例】We hope that this delay will not cause you any inconvenience.

我们希望这一迟延不致引起你方任何不便。

 

②接用in sth或doing sth。

【例】Any delay in shipment would be detrimental to our future business.

装船若有迟延定会对将来的业务有不利的影响。

 

③with... delay延迟

【例】Should the position improve in future, we will then contact you with the least possible delay.将来情况若有好转，我们便尽快同你方联系。

 

④without... delay立即

【例】Please establish your L/C without (any) delay.

请立即开出信用证。

常用作定语。

【例】If you are willing to receive a trial consignment, we will allow commission at 10%, with an additional 2% del credere commission.

如贵方愿接受货物的试销，佣金为10%，另加保付货价佣金2%。

 

【2】保付（货价代理人）佣金，买方信用保证费

 

【例】We guarantee all accounts, in consideration for which we receive a del credere of 1.5%.

我方保证支付所有账款，为此我们收取1.5%的保付佣金。

我方知道你方将派史密斯先生为代表来参加广州交易会。

 

【2】授（权），把……委托给

 

①【例】The directors may delegate their duties and powers in writing to the directors’ representatives.

董事可用书面方式将其职责和权力委授给其代表。

 

②宾语后接用不定式，句式：delegate + 宾语 + to do sth。

【例】The president of the company delegated the clerk to draft a contract.
