①常用于被动旬中，接用不定式。句式：be gratified to do sth。

【例】We are gratified to know that you have increased the turnover this year.

我们高兴地得知你方今年销售额已有增加。

 ②be gratified后面也可接用with或at。句式：be gratified with [at] sth。

【例】We are gratified at your success in pushing the sale of our new products.

对你方推销我新产品中所取得的成功，我们感到满意。

令人满意的，使人愉快的

①句式：It is gratifying to do sth。

【例】It is gratifying to know that you have increased the turnover this year.

得知你方今年销售额已有增加，令人欣慰。

②句式：It is gratifying + that从句。

【例】It is gratifying that this deal has ultimately been done.
