【1】帮助

 

①后面的不定式可带to或不带to。

【例】We understand that you will make every endeavour to help us (to) establish a ready market for our products.

我们知道，你方会尽一切努力帮助我方产品扩建市场。

 

②在表示在某方面提供帮助时，可用with引出。

【例】We can send some technicians to help you with the training of workers.

我们可以派遣一些技术人员来帮助你们培训。

常用of help作表语。

【例】We are sorry not to be able to entertain your offer this time. Perhaps there is some other way in which we can be of help.

很抱歉，此次我们不能接受你方报盘，或许在其他方面，我们可以效劳。

②后面往往接用名词或名词性短语，用以单独构成省略句。

③有时用以连接两个独立句子，表示因果关系。

【例】Under the present system of payment, large sums of our money have to be tied up. Hence we request for payment against documents upon arrival of the goods.

按照目前的付款方法，要积压我方的大量资金。为此，我方要求货到付款交单。
