“作始也简，将毕也钜”。从百年前积贫积弱长夜难明到今天雄峰巍峨伟大复兴，中国共产党领导中国人民走出了一条从站起来、富起来到强起来的中国道路，创造了让世界惊叹的中国奇迹。中国共产党从南湖起航时不过50多人的小党，发展为拥有9500多万名党员、领导着14亿多人口大国、具有重大全球影响力的世界第一大执政党。中国共产党成功的奥秘是什么？答案是一切为了人民，一切依靠人民。
From poverty and weakness, a hundred years ago, to today’s majestic rejuvenation, the Communist Party of China has led the Chinese people to walk on a Chinese path from standing up, growing rich to becoming strong, creating a Chinese miracle that amazed the world. Started from Nanhu as a small party with only over 50 members, the Communist Party of China has developed into the world’s largest ruling party with more than 95 million party members, leading a country with a population of more than 1.4 billion, and with significant global influence. What is the secret of the success of the Communist Party of China? The answer is that everything the Party does is for the people, and the Party does everything by relying on the people.
为什么人、靠什么人的问题，是检验一个政党、一个政权性质的试金石。人民立场是中国共产党的根本政治立场，是中国共产党作为马克思主义政党区别于其他政党的显著标志。坚持以人民为中心的根本立场，坚持把人民群众的利益放在第一位，这是中国共产党始终得到人民信赖和拥护的根本原因，也是这个百年大党带领中国不断创造新奇迹的成功秘诀。
The questions of who you are working for and who you should rely on are touchstones to test the nature of a political party and administration. Standing on the people’s side represents the fundamental political stance of the Communist Party of China, and it is what distinguishes a Marxist political party from other political parties. Adhere to the fundamental stance of putting the people at the center and insist on putting the interests of the people first. This is the fundamental reason why the Communist Party of China has always been trusted and supported by the people, and it is also the secret to the success of this century-old party leading China to continuously create new miracles.
一切为了人民，是中国共产党为什么“能”的无私底色。中国共产党区别于其他党派的独特属性，是没有自己的特殊利益，只有人民的利益。习近平总书记指出：“我们党除了国家、民族、人民的利益，没有任何自己的特殊利益”。没有私利才能为人民谋利益。因此， “人民群众对美好生活的向往”就是中国共产党的奋斗目标。中国共产党团结带领人民进行革命、建设、改革，根本目的就是为了让人民过上好日子，无论面临多大挑战和压力，无论付出多大牺牲和代价，这一点都始终不渝、毫不动摇。
Doing everything for the people is the selfless background of the Communist Party of China. The unique attribute of the Communist Party of China that distinguishes it from other parties is that it has no special interests of its own, only the interests of the people. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: “Our party has no special interests of its own except the interests of the state, the nation, and the people.” Having no self-interest, it can benefit all the people. Therefore, “the people’s aspirations for a better life” is the goal of the Communist Party of China. The Communist Party of China unites and leads the people in revolution, construction, and reform. The fundamental purpose is to enable the people to live a good life. The Communist Party of China will remain committed to this aspiration no matter how hard it is challenged and pressured, how huge sacrifices it has to make and how big the price it has to pay.
一切依靠人民，是中国共产党为什么“能”的力量之源。中国共产党根基在人民。中华人民共和国的缔造者毛泽东主席曾说“共产党人是种子，人民是土地。共产党是鱼，人民是水。群众是党的上帝”，习近平总书记说“老百姓是天，老百姓是地。脱离了人民，党就会成为无源之水、无本之木，就会一事无成”。中国共产党力量在人民。中国共产党始终同人民想在一起、干在一起、团结在一起。人民群众有无难不克的主人翁力量。有了这样的力量的支持，中国共产党才能创造出人间奇迹。
Relying on the people in everything is the source of the strength of the Communist Party of China. The Communist Party of China has its root in the people. The founder of the People’s Republic of China chairman Mao Zedong once said, “The Communists are the seeds, and the people are the land. The Communists are the fish, and the people are the water. The masses are the gods of the party.” General Secretary Xi Jinping said, “The people are heaven, and the people are the land. Without the people, the party will become water without source and a tree without roots, nothing will be accomplished.” The power of the Communist Party of China lies in the people. The Communist Party of China always empathizes and works with people, stands with the people. The masses of the people have the indispensable master strength. It is with the support of such strength that the Communist Party of China has the ability to create miracles on earth.
为了人民，依靠人民，中国共产党领导中国赢得革命战争伟大胜利。面对国民党反动派疯狂围剿的严峻局面，毛泽东气定神闲地说：“真正的铜墙铁壁是什么？是群众，是千百万真心实意地拥护革命的群众。这是真正的铜墙铁壁，什么力量也打不破的，完全打不破的。”中国的革命能够成功，就是因为得到了民众的支持。中国共产党与中国人民不会忘记，是人民群众用小米哺育了苏区、边区、解放区，用肩膀支撑起了土地革命战争、抗日战争、解放战争，用无数子弟的鲜血，染红了党旗、军旗和新中国的国旗。
For the people, relying on the people, the Communist Party of China led China to win the great victory in the revolutionary war. Facing the grim situation of the Kuomintang reactionaries’ frenzied encirclement and suppression, Mao Zedong calmly said: “What is the real iron bastion? It is the masses, millions of people who sincerely support the revolution. This is the real iron bastion, and no force can break it. It is totally unbreakable.” The success of the Chinese revolution is due to the support of the people. The Communist Party of China and the Chinese people will never forget that it was the people nurtured the Soviet Revolutionary areas, anti-Japanese border areas and anti-Kuomintang liberated areas with millet, and supported the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Anti-Japanese War, and Liberation War with their shoulders. With countless blood, they dyed red the party flag, military flag and the national flag of the new China.
为了人民，依靠人民，中国共产党领导中国取得国家建设伟大成就，如今已成为世界第二大经济体、世界制造业第一大国、货物贸易第一大国、外汇储备第一大国。
For the people, relying on the people, the Communist Party of China has led China to achieve great achievements in national construction. Nowadays, China has developed into the world’s second largest economy, the world’s largest manufacturing country, the largest country in trade in goods, and the largest country in foreign exchange reserves.
为了人民，依靠人民，中国共产党领导中国成功控制新冠肺炎疫情传播。面对新中国成立以来遭遇的传播速度最快、感染范围最广、防控难度最大的公共卫生事件，中国共产党在人民生命和经济利益之间果断抉择生命至上，坚持把人民群众的生命安全和身体健康放在第一位，紧紧依靠人民打赢疫情防控人民战争，快速建立起全民参与的严密防控体系，取得了疫情防控的胜利。
For the people, relying on the people, the Communist Party of China has led China to successfully control the spread of the corona virus epidemic. Facing the epidemic which represented the most challenging public health emergency in China since the founding of the P.R.C., given the speed and scope of its spread, the Communist Party of China decisively places people’s lives above economic growth, makes people’s lives and health its first priority, and relies on the people to win this battle. In this way, China quickly established a tight prevention and control system involving all sectors of society, and won the victory of epidemic prevention and control.
为了人民，依靠人民，中国共产党领导中国消除绝对贫困。中国共产党始终坚持以人民为中心的发展思想，坚定不移走共同富裕道路。习近平总书记说：“我们搞社会主义就是要让人民群众过上幸福美好的生活，全面建成小康社会一个民族、一个家庭、一个人都不能少。”中国消除绝对贫困，真正做到了发展为了人民、发展依靠人民、发展成果由人民共享。
For the people, relying on the people, the Communist Party of China leads China in eradicating absolute poverty. The Communist Party of China has always adhered to the people-centered philosophy of development and unswervingly follows the path of common prosperity. General Secretary Xi Jinping said: “Our socialism is to enable the people to live a good life. To build a well-off society in an all-round way, no ethic group, no family and no person should be left behind.” China’s eradication of absolute poverty is a practice of development for the people, development by the people, and the development achievement shared by the people.
为了人民，依靠人民，是中国共产党将继续坚持的立场与本色。一百年来中国波澜壮阔的伟大实践已经证明，中国共产党与人民群众是不可分割的，得到人民支持的中国共产党是不可战胜的。面向未来，作为人民衷心拥护的马克思主义执政党，中国共产党将继续紧紧依靠人民，站稳人民立场，贯彻群众路线，团结带领中国人民不断为美好生活而奋斗。就像习近平总书记在庆祝中国共产党成立100周年大会上向所有党员发出的号召，中国共产党将“永远保持同人民群众的血肉联系，始终同人民想在一起、干在一起，风雨同舟、同甘共苦，继续为实现人民对美好生活的向往不懈努力！”
For the people, relying on the people, is the position that the Communist Party of China will continue to uphold. China’s magnificent practice in the past 100 years has proved that the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people are inseparable, and the Communist Party of China, which is supported by the Chinese people, is invincible. Facing the future, as the ruling Marxism party with people’s wholehearted support, the Communist Party of China will continue to rely on the people, stand firmly with the people, implement the Party’s mass line, and unite and lead the Chinese people in continuous struggle for a better life. Just like General Secretary Xi Jinping’s call to all party members at the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Communist Party of China will “always maintain close ties with the people, stand with them through good times and bad, and continue working tirelessly to realize their aspirations for a better life”.
“不忘初心，方得始终”。为了人民，依靠人民，这是中国共产党的成功秘诀与力量之源，是中国共产党“能”的原因。
“Never forget why you started, and you can accomplish your mission.” Relying on the people, for the people. It is the secret of the success and source of strength of the Communist Party of China. It is what the capability of the Communist Party of China is attributable to.
