Serial Relationship

连续关系

A term sometimes used in linguistics, and especially in Quirk grammar, to refer to a theory which recognizes gradience between syntactic categories. In a matrix of the type:

A    B   C

a    +   —  —

b    +   +   —

c    +   +   +

B would be said to be serially related to A and C.

语言学有时使用夸克语法经常使用的术语，指承认句法范畴之间有胁迫性的理论。在如下的矩阵中：

B可称为与A和C有“连续关系”。
