高峰：非常抱歉，让大家久等了，因为中美经贸关系出现一些新的变化，商务部临时召开一个小型的记者吹风会，下面欢迎记者朋友们围绕着中美经贸关系提出问题。
I’m sorry for having kept you waiting. Since there were some changes in recent China-US trade and economic relations, so we decided to hold the special briefing. Now welcome to propose your questions.
新华社记者：我们知道，美东时间4月5日，美国总统特朗普发布声明，考虑再对中国1000亿美元的出口商品加征关税，请问中方有何评论？
Xinhua News Agency: We know that on April 5 (US time), the US President Trump made a statement of considering to levy US$100 billion of additional tariffs on Chinese exports. What are your comments?
高峰：我们感到，美方的行为十分无理。美方严重错判了形势，采取了极其错误的行动，这种行动的结果就是“搬起石头砸自己的脚”。如果美方公布新增1000亿征税产品清单，中方已经做好充分的准备，将毫不犹豫、立刻进行大力度的反击。谢谢。
Gao Feng: The US action is unreasonable. It has misjudged the situation and taken extremely wrong action, lifting a rock only to drop on its own feet. The Chinese side has been prepared and will fight back instantly without hesitation when a list of additional tariffs on US$100 billion Chinese products was released.
中国国际广播电台记者：您认为这场所谓的贸易战的性质是什么？
China International Radio: What do you think of the so-called trade war?
高峰：我们认为这是单边主义和多边主义之间的一场斗争，是保护主义和自由贸易之间的一场斗争。如果多边主义和自由贸易受到威胁，经济全球化的进程遭到破坏，整个世界经济复苏都会受到严重威胁，这既不利于中国的核心利益，更不利于全球的共同利益。面临这样的重大问题，我们必须坚决斗争。谢谢。
Gao Feng: We believe it’s a fight between the unilateralism and multilateralism, and one between protectionism and free trade. If the multilateralism and free trade are threatened, the procession of economic globalization will be harmed and the world economy recovery will be destroyed severely. That will do no good to China’s essential interest, let alone the common interest of the world. Therefore, we must fight back resolutely. Thank you.
CNBC记者：您下午时说过中国会采取新的综合应对措施，捍卫我们国家和人民的利益。新的综合措施包括哪些措施？另外，如果说中国也拿出一张清单来的话，这张清单会包括什么产品？
CNBC: You said in the afternoon that China would adopt new comprehensive countermeasures to safeguard the interests of our country and people. What are the measures? Besides, if China puts forward such a list, what products will it cover?
高峰：刚才我已经说过，中方已经做好充分准备，如果美方公布新增1000亿的征税产品清单，我们将毫不犹豫立刻进行大力度的反击。我们不排除任何选项。谢谢。
Gao Feng: I’ve made it clear that China is now fully prepared, and if the US releases the list for the additional US$ 100 billion products for tariff, we will take massive countermeasures without hesitation. Every option is within our consideration. Thank you.
中新社记者：我们注意到，最近有美国高官说中美正在就贸易冲突进行谈判，请问商务部对此有何评论？谢谢。
Chinese News Service: We’ve recently noticed some senior officials said that China and the US are negotiating the trade conflict. What is the comment of MOFCOM on this? Thank you.
高峰：中方注意到，美方不同官员都表达了刚才你说的这个意思，但是这不符合实际情况。一段时间以来，双方的财经官员并没有就经贸问题进行任何谈判。美方公布301调查报告以及产品建议清单以后，中方予以坚决回应；美方再次提出增加1000亿征税商品，中方进行了更加坚定的回应；在这种情况下，双方更不可能就此问题进行任何的谈判。谢谢。
Gao Feng: China noticed that different US officials have expressed what you just said, but this contradicts the facts. For some time, the financial officials of both sides have not conducted any negotiations on economic and trade issues. After the US released its 301 investigation report and the proposed list of products, China responded resolutely. The US once again proposed to add US$100 billion of taxed goods, and China made a firmer response; in this case, it is even less likely that both sides will have any negotiations on this issue. Thank you.
经济日报记者：我的问题是，如果美方采取了进一步升级行动，你们会有什么措施？
Economic Daily: my question is that if the US adopts upgraded action, what counter measures will MOFCOM take?
高峰：我们已经按照底线思维的方式，做好了应对美方进一步采取升级行动的准备，并已经拟定十分具体的反制措施。中国人的做事方式是，我们不会挑事，但如果有人挑事，我们会坚决应战。中国人办事历来是十分认真的，我们一定会说到做到。谢谢。
Gao Feng: Thinking from the bottom line, we have fully prepared for the US’ upgraded action, and have drawn out very detailed countermeasures. We Chinese will never start a fight, but if someone challenges us, we will fight back uncompromisingly. The Chinese people have always been serious about our work, and we will certainly keep our words. Thank you.
