①后面可接用介词to表示“抬高”的对象。

【例】As the country gradually opens its capital market, Chinese investors can expect a strong boost to the performance of the market.

由于国家逐渐开放其资本市场，中国投资者可望市场业绩会有很大的提高。

②下例实为介词to的省略。

【例】This has given share prices a big boost [a big boost to share prices].

这已给股票价格以很大的提高。
