②后面接用宾语+不定式作补语，句式：demonstrate sth to do sth。

【例】The salesman demonstrated the correct way to operate a food mixer.

售货员演示了操作食品搅拌器的正确方法。

 

③形成动名词使用。

【例】The television advertising is an effective means of demonstrating a new product’s usefulness.

电视广告是展示新产品用途的一种有效的手段。

【例】Demurrage for 20000 DWT vessel will be US $10000 per day and despatch money (if any) will be 50% of demurrage. Demurrage/Despatch money for vessels of smaller sizes will be pro-rated accordingly.
