【1】要求

他们要求立即付款。

 

②接用that从句，从句中多用should或虚拟语气现在时。

【例】We demand that the buyer (should) open the relative L/C before the end of this month.

我们要求买方在本月底以前开出有关信用证。

 

③句式：demand of sb to do sth。

【例】The buyer demands of the seller to ship the goods within a month.

买方要求卖方一个月内发货。

 

【2】要求，需要

很抱歉，我们不能满足你方需要。

 

②可接用that从句，从句中多用should或虚拟语气现在时。

【例】They made the demand that you (should) deliver the goods in the 3rd quarter.

他们要求你们在第三季度交货。

 

【3】需求

 

①【例】Strong domestic demand for textiles in Japan boosted cotton consumption to nearly 2.9 million bales.

日本国内对纺织品的强烈需求将棉花的消耗量推进到近290万包。

 

②组成in... demand使用。

【例】We are now in demand for your printing machine Model R50.

我们想购买你方R50型印刷机。

 

③组成a [an] + adj + demand使用。

【例】I’m convinced that we can work up a big demand for our goods in Europe.

我们相信，我们能够激发欧洲人大量购买我方商品。

 

【4】催账，即期（使债务到期的行为）

 

【例】If the Buyer should fail to make payment after demand, the Seller may defer any further deliveries.

如经催索后买方仍不付款，卖方可推迟进一步交货。
