①freight英国英语用以指海运，而美国英语用以指海、陆、空运。为了含义明确起见最好写为sea freight（海运），air freight（空运）等。

【例】We are enclosing our Inquiry No.1005 against which we solicit your best CIF offer by sea freight.

随函附上我方第1005号询价单，请接此报来最低的海运CIF价格。

 

②用作定语，组成复合名词。

【例】I would like to have some help in booking freight space.

我希望在订舱方面，能得到一些帮助。

 

【3】运费

 

【例】The ocean freight is calculated by weight, not by measurement.

该项海运运费是按重量而不是按尺码计算的。
