很高兴与各位新老朋友一起相聚云端，共同庆祝中华人民共和国成立七十三周年！我谨代表中国驻欧盟使团，向积极投身中欧合作的各界朋友，以及关心、关注中国和中欧关系发展的广大网友致以诚挚的问候和谢意！
It’s a great pleasure to e-meet old and new friends to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. On behalf of the Chinese Mission to the European Union, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude and greetings to friends from various sectors who have been devoted to China-EU cooperation and to all who follow closely the development of China and China-EU relations.
73年来，中国人民砥砺前行，书写了精彩的“中国故事”。年初，中国成功举办简约、安全、精彩的奥运盛会，发出“一起向未来”的时代强音！金秋十月，中国共产党将召开第二十次全国代表大会，擘画下阶段发展蓝图。中国人民正以坚定、自信的姿态，昂首阔步迈上全面建成社会主义现代化强国、实现第二个百年奋斗目标的新征程。
Over the past 73 years, the Chinese people have forged ahead and made remarkable achievements. At the beginning of this year, the successful convening of the simple, safe and splendid Beijing Winter Olympics sent a strong message of “together for a shared future”! Later in October, the Communist Party of China will draw a new blueprint for the country’s development at its 20th National Congress. The Chinese people, determined and confident, are embarking on a new journey towards the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.

国际形势正在经历复杂深刻的变化，空前的挑战与机遇摆在中国和世界面前。73年来，中国坚定地走自己的发展道路，探索出一条中国式现代化道路。展望未来：
The international situation is undergoing complex and profound changes, with China and the world both facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. In the past 73 years, China has been committed to its development path and explored a distinctive pathway to modernization, to which we will firmly stick in the future.
中国将坚定不移走和平发展之路。中华民族的悠久历史孕育了热爱和平的文化传统。中国坚定奉行独立自主的和平外交政策，是世界上唯一将和平发展写入宪法的国家。为破解全球安全困境，习近平主席提出全球安全倡议，倡导共同、综合、合作、可持续的安全观，推动构建均衡、有效、可持续的安全架构，为世界的和平稳定作出贡献。
China will stick to the course of development by peaceful means. The history of the Chinese nation has nurtured our peace-loving tradition. China has been following an independent foreign policy of peace and remains the only country in the world that enshrines peaceful development in its Constitution. To address the global security dilemma, President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Security Initiative, which builds on the vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, and seeks to promote the establishment of a balanced, effective and sustainable security architecture, a distinct contribution to world peace and stability.
中国将坚定不移走开放发展之路。中国的发展不仅造福中国人民，也惠及全世界。中国已成为130多个国家和地区的最大贸易伙伴。中国经济长期向好的基本面不会变，坚持扩大高水平开放的决心不会变，同世界分享发展机遇的决心不会变。中国将为世界经济企稳复苏提供强大动能，为各国提供更广阔的市场机会。
China will stick to the course of development via openness. As the largest trading partner for more than 130 countries and regions, China benefits not only the Chinese people with its development, but also the whole world. Looking ahead, the fundamentals sustaining the long-term growth of the Chinese economy remain unchanged, and so is China’s determination to promote openness at a higher level, and to share its development opportunities with the rest of the world. China’s development will provide strong momentum for world economic recovery, and offer broader market opportunities for all.
中国将坚定不移走合作发展之路。中国始终坚持合作共赢，对世界经济增长贡献率超过30%，对全球减贫贡献率超过70%。新冠疫情暴发以来，中国已向国际社会供应超过22亿剂新冠疫苗。中国积极应对气候变化，力争2030年前实现碳达峰、2060年前实现碳中和。习近平主席提出全球发展倡议，推动构建全球发展伙伴关系，实现更加强劲、绿色、健康的全球发展，为推进联合国2030年可持续发展议程和应对发展挑战贡献了中国智慧和中国方案。
China will stick to the course of development through cooperation. A firm advocate for win-win cooperation, China has contributed more than 30 percent to global economic growth and more than 70 percent to global poverty reduction. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China has provided the international community with over 2.2 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines. China has also been active on the climate front, aiming to peak its CO2 emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. The recently proposed Global Development Initiative by President Xi Jinping, which aims at strengthening global development partnerships and promoting more robust, greener and more balanced global development, offers China’s vision and wisdom for advancing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and addressing global development challenges.

推动中欧关系稳定健康发展，促进国际合作和人类进步，是中欧的共同利益和共同责任。中欧作为全球两大力量、两大市场、两大文明，比以往任何时候都需要加强对话、深化合作、携手前行。
To maintain a sound and stable China-EU relationship, as well as to promote international cooperation and human progress, is the common interest and the shared responsibility of both sides. China and the EU, as two major forces, markets and civilizations, need more than ever to increase dialogue, deepen cooperation and jointly forge ahead. Going forward, our relationship will continue to be characterized by three keywords:
战略伙伴是中欧关系的正确定位。中欧作为全面战略伙伴，共识远大于分歧，合作远多于竞争。中方始终从战略高度看待中欧关系，长期以来支持欧洲一体化、支持欧盟团结繁荣、支持欧盟战略自主。双方应坚守正确认知，尊重彼此社会制度和发展道路，照顾彼此核心利益和重大关切，维护好中欧关系的政治基础，推动中欧关系行稳致远。
The first is strategic partnership, which is the right positioning for China-EU relations. As comprehensive strategic partners, China and the EU enjoy far more consensus and cooperation than differences and competition. China always views its relations with the EU from a strategic perspective, and supports the integration, unity and strategic autonomy of the European Union. For a sound and stable China-EU relationship, it’s important that we perceive each other in the right light, respect each other’s social system and development path, accommodate each other’s core interests and major concerns, so as to maintain the political foundation of our relations.
互利共赢是中欧合作的主基调。去年中欧贸易额创下历史新高，今年1-7月，欧盟对华贸易额达4839亿欧元，同比增长28%。今年中欧成功举行了第三次环境与气候高层对话和第九次经贸高层对话。双方应依托现有合作机制，加强政策协调，挖掘合作潜力，打造合作新亮点，坚持双向开放，维护公平竞争，为双方企业创造更多机遇。
The second is mutual benefit, which remains the theme of China-EU cooperation. Last year, China-EU two-way trade reached a record high and the bilateral trade volume in the first seven months this year stood at 483.9 billion euros, with a year-on-year growth of 28%. This year also sees the successful convening of the third High-level Environment and Climate Dialogue and the ninth High-level Economic and Trade Dialogue between the two sides. It’s important that we make the most out of existing mechanisms to step up policy coordination, release cooperation potential and seek new areas of win-win benefits. In this process, an open market and fair competition from both sides are needed if we’re to create more opportunities for our two businesses.
多边主义是中欧之间的共同语言。我们应警惕形形色色的单边主义，反对各个领域的保护主义。面对时代潮流，中欧应坚定维护以联合国为核心的国际体系和以国际法为基础的国际秩序，践行真正的多边主义，反对零和博弈和阵营对抗。倒退没有出路，合作才能共赢。
The third is multilateralism, which is the shared language between China and the EU. In face of unilateralism of various forms and protectionism in different areas, both China and the EU need to stay vigilant. To answer the call of the times, China and the EU should firmly uphold the international system with the UN at its core and the international order based on international laws, practice multilateralism as it is, and jointly oppose zero-sum games and bloc rivalry. Cooperation stands our only winning chance while retrogression is a road that leads nowhere.

中欧建交47年，双方关系有波折，但成就是主要的。我们坚信，只要中欧登高望远，携手努力，就能为双边关系增添新动力，为世界注入更多稳定性，为双方和世界人民造就更多新的福祉。
The China-EU relationship, despite some ups and downs, has come a long way since the two sides established diplomatic ties 47 years ago. We firmly believe that as long as China and the EU look far ahead and work in the same direction, we will be able to add new momentum to our relations, inject more stability into the world and deliver more benefits to people of both sides and beyond.
值此中华人民共和国成立七十三周年之际，祝愿祖国繁荣昌盛，祝愿各位朋友幸福安康。同时也让我们为中欧关系的稳定发展，为全人类的美好明天共同努力！
On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, we wish our motherland prosperity and wish all our friends happiness and well-being. Let us also work together for the stable development of China-EU relations and for a better tomorrow for all!
