Reduplication

重叠

A term in morphology for a process of repetition whereby the form of a prefix/suffix reflects certain phonological characteristics of the root. This process may be found in Greek, where the initial consonant of the root is reduplicated in certain grammatical contexts.

形态学术语，指前缀/后缀形式反映词根的某些音系特点的一种重复。这种重复可见于希腊语，其词根的首辅音在一定的语法上下文里重叠。
