Stylistics
风格学,语体学
A branch of linguistics which studies the feature of situationally distinctive uses (varieties) of language, and tries to establish principles capable of accounting for the particular choices made by individual and social groups in their use of language. The term ‘stylistics’ is occasionally used in a very broad sense, to include all situationally distinctive language - that is, including the variations of regional, social and historical dialects.
语言学的一个分支,研究语言在情景中不同用法(语言变体)的特征,并试图确立一些原则来说明个人和社会群体使用语言时的特定选择。“风格学”一词的使用有时有很广的涵义,包括研究所有随情景而异的语言变体,即包括地域、社会、历史方言等变异。
