各位来宾朋友，大家上午好！

Good morning to everyone.

今天，中国驻文莱使馆和极乐缘共同举办斋月为苏布克村孤儿献爱心活动，非常高兴大家共同参与。

Today the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brunei and Joyful Garden host this event to make donation to the children in Subok village at the special moment of Ramadan. I am very glad it is a join effort.

中国的穆斯林和文莱穆斯林一样，目前都在斋月之中，即将迎来开斋节。斋月是穆斯林圣洁的月份，也是社会各界奉献爱心、相互帮助的日子。彼此尊重、睦邻友好、扶贫济困、乐善好施是中华民族的优良品德。我为能在斋月期间与极乐缘和苏布克村合作，为孩子们送上爱心与祝福感到高兴。使馆赠送的斋月礼包有中国出产的特色水果，也有文莱小朋友参加使馆组织绘画比赛的作品集和中文旅游年的纪念品，希望大家能充分感受到来自中国的温暖和祝福。

Muslims in China, like those in Brunei, are currently in the month of Ramadan, which is a holy month for Muslims and also a time for the societies to offer love and extend help to whose who need. Mutual respect and charity are the virtues of the Chinese people. I am happy to offer love and good wishes to 25 orphans during Ramadan with the help of Joyful Garden and Subok Village. The gift bags presented by the Chinese Embassy include fruits from China, a collection of Brunei children's painting works from the competition organized by the Embassy together with the Ministry of Education of Brunei, and also the souvenirs from the Chinese Tourism Year. I hope children could feel the warmth and good wishes from the Chinese Embassy.

中国与文莱是隔海相望的好邻邦、好朋友、好伙伴，两国交往历史悠久，经受了时间考验。中文友好有深厚的民间基础。疫情发生以来，两国和两国人民“守望相助”，相互支持，共抗疫情。极乐缘是文莱华人朋友林资强先生花费心血、历经数年、个人出资建造的具有中国传统文化韵味的宅院，它为各界民众了解中国传统文化提供了一扇窗口。希望孩子们多多了解中国，成为中文友好的传承者和推动者。

China and Brunei enjoy a long history of friendship. We are good neighbors, friends and partners which have stood the test of time and have a deep foundation among the people. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the two countries and their people supported each other to fight the epidemic together. Berat sama dipikul, ringan sama dijingjing. Joyful Garden, a traditional Chinese culture building invested by Mr. Lim Cheekhiong, provides a window for the Bruneian people to understand traditional Chinese culture. I hope children will make more efforts to know about China and become a carrier as well as a promoter of our friendship.

孩子们，你们并不孤单，社会各界爱心人士关注着你们，愿意为你们健康成长贡献力量。在此，我预祝同学们和现场的每一位朋友开斋节快乐！
